In a timely ceremony for the International Day for Biodiversity, the ACB held the oath-taking ceremony of its new Executive Director, Dr. Jerome Montemayor, on 19 May 2025.
Held at the ACB Headquarters in Laguna, Philippines the oath-taking was administered by Atty. Jonas Leones, Chairperson of the ASEAN Senior Officials on Environment (ASOEN) and the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary for Policy, Planning, and International Affairs.
To symbolise the turnover of the ACB leadership, outgoing ACB Acting Executive Director Clarissa Arida handed the ACB flag and a terrarium to Dr. Montemayor.
A development professional, Dr. Montemayor has extensive experience in social development work in the fields of public education improvement, sustainable development, conservation management, and climate action initiatives throughout the Philippines and Asia.
