On 9 May 2025, the Viet Nam Ministry of Agriculture and Environment issued Document No. 1863/BNNMT-TTTT on Guidance for organising activities in response to the International Day for Biodiversity 2025 to Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Provincial People’s Committees.
The guidance focuses on the following main activities:
1. Strengthen communication, education, and public awareness about biodiversity conservation, and honour individuals and groups with effective conservation initiatives.
2. Continue effectively implementing national biodiversity strategies and planning towards 2050 to ensure ecological integrity and contribute to green economic development.
3. Develop plans and mobilise diverse financial resources for biodiversity conservation while promoting equitable benefit-sharing and sustainable livelihoods.
4. Promote scientific research and technological applications in biodiversity conservation, monitoring, and climate change adaptation.
5. Enhance international and cross-border cooperation in biodiversity management and wildlife trade control.
