Every 22 May, the whole world celebrates the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB). Led by the secretariat of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, IDB celebrations have carried different themes, highlighting the need for a whole-of-society approach to addressing biodiversity challenges.
This year’s theme – From Agreement to Action: Build Back Biodiversity – calls for the need to translate the newest set of global biodiversity targets— the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework—into concrete actions for nature.
