Yes, agriculture and biodiversity CAN help each other!
Certain agricultural systems help enhance natural biodiversity while meeting people’s food needs.
From 25 to 26 May 2023, relevant government agencies and stakeholders in the region will gather in Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the consultation and planning workshop Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Agriculture and Forestry Towards Food Security and Sustainable Livelihoods in the ASEAN Region. Organised by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy of Planning (ONEP) of Thailand and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) with the support of the European Union through the ๐๐ช๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ช๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ช๐ต๐บ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ด ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐๐๐๐ (#BCAMP), the workshop will serve as a venue to develop an implementation road map for mainstreaming biodiversity in agriculture through agrobiodiversity conservation and sustainable management.
