Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Agriculture and Forestry Towards Food Security and Sustainable Livelihoods in the ASEAN Region

Yes, agriculture and biodiversity CAN help each other!

Certain agricultural systems help enhance natural biodiversity while meeting people’s food needs.

From 25 to 26 May 2023, relevant government agencies and stakeholders in the region will gather in Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the consultation and planning workshop Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Agriculture and Forestry Towards Food Security and Sustainable Livelihoods in the ASEAN Region. Organised by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy of Planning (ONEP) of Thailand and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) with the support of the European Union through the 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘚𝘌𝘈𝘕 (#BCAMP), the workshop will serve as a venue to develop an implementation road map for mainstreaming biodiversity in agriculture through agrobiodiversity conservation and sustainable management.
